Hey Great job, Im impressed. Many people dont' think out of the box and make an actual remix. I thought that I was thw ony one who actually made a real remix but I stand corrected.

I love the shifts you placed in here, they keep the song fresh. Overall, this song serves a purpose. It makes me think of a hero that gets the inspiration to keep going, to give it his all.

where this is going. You seem to have an understanding about how music is composed because of the stability I hear in the song.
You same to make a lot of good mood music, which help to paint how a charcter may feel of or may be going through.
This song has a somewhat hero feel to it, also a touch of mystery. I could only imagine what this song would have been if you had some higher quality instruments.

This sounds really good and to be honest, im glad to see that making great progress.
One thing, I the instruments sound like they are meshing together in a slosh, as if they drag into eachother. I think it's because of the instruments you use. I think that if you were to get your hands onto some higher end orchestra VST's that the quality would sky rocket. Of course that would be a matter of money, so Im not going to judge you on that, I just feel it may help in the future.
Other than that, this song paints an epic seen. It brings to mind, a situation in which an event has just gone down that has brought much confusion upon a town. As the hero is in serch of his love ones he notices a small girl inside an unstable building. As the roof starts to colapse he rushes in and pushes the girl out of harms way. He manages to climb out but is injured. As he staggers about, his vision begins to blur and he notices am entity emerging from some flames. As that happens he collapses.

Honestly...
I love the beginning! I thought it helped get you into the mood of the song. I had a nice build up effect that really made you want more. That is something alot of people cant achieve because they drag something out way to much without giving the listener something to keep there intrest. So great job, oh a by the way, without knowing it my head started bobing lol.

I'd like to say that I know for a fact that tis was a challenge to make. I never tried to make a 8 bit song before and after hearing this I might have to try to give it a go! Im sure someone will be putting this in a flash game because it's a great piece.

I find it interesting how your mind works. Your version of this song is very unique and I like it. I just mean I just made a "Saria's Song Remix" and something like this never came to mind.
The setting could be either in the forrest or even more so for the village. I think that would have been cool. I wish they make a game of Zelda using the remix's the the fans have made.
